Priorities

Alma 60:36

"Behold, I am Moroni, your chief captain. I seek not for power, but to pull it down. I seek not for honor of the world, but for the glory of my God, and the freedom and welfare of my country. And thus I close mine epistle."

Moroni writes a very charged letter to Pahoran, who is a government leader. Moroni points out how the government has failed to support the armies against the Lamanites. He fears Pahoran is not fighting for the righteous cause. I like how Moroni does not fear what the government may think of his epistle. He writes what he feels is just and urges the government to repent. Moroni does not want glory. He wants his people to follow God and be protected by Him.
