Mosiah 29:23
"...and thus an unrighteous king doth pervert the ways of all righteousness."
When the government is corrupt and wickedness prevails, it's harder to be righteous. This is why it's so important to have a good leader and to be a good citizen. There are many situations where this is not possible, and examples of people who remain righteous and few but amazing.
