Mosiah 17:20

"And now, when Abinadi had said these words, he fell, having suffered death by fire; yea, having been put to death because he would not deny the commandments of God, having sealed the truth of his words by his death."

Abinadi did what the Lord wanted him to do. King Noah did not like what he said, so he killed him.  Abinadi would rather die than deny the words he preached.  I admire Abinadi's courage and devotion to the Lord and his mighty works.  It does not matter what people think of us or even if we live a long time.  What matters is that we are being true to Heavenly Father, because His judgements determine our eternity.
